There’s loads of things I love about white water kayaking: the thrill of pushing myself outside my comfort zone (it terrifies me at times!); the new perspectives you get from being somewhere only other kayakers have ever been; but most of all I love the satisfaction I get from coaching others.
White water kayaking can lead to some real adventures, and it’s a team sport (because you’ve got to keep each other safe) at the same time as being individualistic. One of my most exciting adventures in a kayak was a first decent of a grade 4 rapid in Rwanda, but that’s a story for another time!
