I’ve lovingly converted a Mercedes Sprinter van into a cosy camper. Nellie The Sprinter has now been to 18 countries and has kept me pretty comfortable in temperatures between -25C and +35C. Nellie has an LPG tank (for heating and the hob), a solar panel (and the leisure batteries also charge when the engine is running), two roof vents and a window, a full-sized double bed, a shower and toilet. There’s space for a white water kayak, a playboat (small kayak), a bike, kitesurfing kit, skis, snowboards, and everything else you could ever need for an adventure. I did all the work myself and I learned a tonne along the way!
